Defender 777 - mixing questions

greenspun.com : LUSENET : B&W Photo - Film & Processing : One Thread

Having read the article on remembering 777, I decided to order the varioous chemicals and mix up a batch. Re-reading the article it says that proper mixing is very important. Can anyone lend any advice on the mixing of these chemicals?

I think Fred was talking about the packaged commercial product. I don't think you will have any problem with the individual chemicals. Mix at 125 degrees and handle the paraphenylene-diamine with great caution, as it is quite toxic. Don't freak out if the color is very dark--it will work fine.
