If you've got only one CD-ROM drive, you should first creat an image file from your Video CD source, then put a blank CD-R disc to burn.

U can't burn because that should rightly be called Roxio ferric oxide, not even iron, LET ALONE PLATINUM! That's it: RUST! If you've been reading some of the entries in this forum you will now have the cue: get rid of that Roxio as a very first step!

hi to duplicate a cd (vcd as well), make a cd-to-cd copy (it work´s at least with Nero). i´m not sure but Roxio only burns cd to 800mb (70 min). you always could try Nero. 2man

Use NERO . It works every time. I had problems almost every time with Roxio.

I'm using Toast Titanium. I burned a digital home movie to a CD-R. My DVD player would not recognize it (Because it is 4-5 years old) so I took the freshly burned cd to Best Buy and tried it in a Video cd capable DVD player and it worked great. Still learning. I'll be happy to share info. Good Luck!

I had the same problem after I upgrade to XP and a new Memorex RW drive. I went to the MS window site and got the latest upgrade to XP and everything works fine. Tony

You need to download the update patch for your platinum to correct all the glitch. After that, you'll see it run perfect.
