NUFC Rule 9a(Supplementary)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

'Sub Para i : Any player injured in the course of his on-field duties will on no account remove his sensible head.

Sub Para ii : An injured player categorically must allow himself to be guided by common sense, competant medical advice, or, in the absense of these, the manager, provided the manager has been in the game long enough to know better.

Sub Para iii : On no account whatsoever will the player be allowed to make any decisions on his own behalf.

Sub Para iv : Failure to abide by this rule will, depending on the status of the player, result in a complete and abject climb down by the club, and the player will be permitted to risk his future career, and possibly future club development, by making an appearance that in any other field of human activity, would result in the most serious censure.'

So howweh Al, show thum wee's boss and torn oot a sarraduh n' stick it up Charlton. Wor need's greatuh than thine.

Al's professionalism.

More like Al's thick heed. Lee's attempt to knock some sense into it has obviously failed. Must try harder next time. ;-)

If his nose is bust and his teeth are dodgy, will Al turn out in one of those fantastic face masks like Gazza? Or will NUFC do a cheapo by buying an ice hockey 'keepers one instead?

When I had my difference of opinion with a radiator mounting bracket that required me having my left shoulder stitched back together, it was longer than 7 days before my meagre three stitches could be removed, so, regardless of how 'minor' Al's other injuries might be, I would've thought his common sense would have given him some hint that turning out on Saturday isn't very realistic.

As long as he doesn't end up with the same problems Beardo did after his injuries.

Obviously. To be fair.

At the end of the day a sheet metal worker's son can't count his chickens before they've hatched as they eggs haven't been laid yet.

It's to be hoped you're beyond A levels Paul, because you've got nee chance with things like 'they eggs haven't been laid yet'.

Anybody with a modicum of intellect would know that it should be ' ... they there eggs haven't been laid yet.'

And, it would probably scan better as '...them there eggs haven't been laid yet.' :-{E}

PB, Paul was actually speaking(writing) American Ebonics, so be usin da correct syntax, yo.

Isn't syntax what prostitutes pay?
