PS2

Picked up a console week before last with a couple of games: Crash Bandicoot (the wrath of Cortex), Wipeout Fusion and Metal Gear Solid 2 (where do they get these titles from?!?!?). All are excellent in different ways.

Anyway, just checking to see if anyone else is experiencing a late 20s revival of gaming. I just love it. The only thing a PC has over it is saving (you have to save onto memory cartridges). Otherwise, beats the hell out of all the crap with installing, crashing, blue screening...jeez, I should have got one of these ages ago!

late 20's ? Oh does that mean someone older shouldn't have one. I bought mine for my kids, honest !

No good for footy manager games. Excellent otherwise though. I'm waiting for the price to come down cos it's a bit much for me to actually justify spending on my poor little income.

There's allegedly a price war on the horizon. x-box hasn't sold as well as expected in Europe and Japan. So they will be slashing their price which will drive down the price of the PS2 and also the GameCube. I paid attention to that news for my kids sake, honest !

I can get it for £194. If we can get closer to £100 I'll be laughing.

Woolies are doing an promo of PS2 and those games (above) for £250 (i think). And console plus MSG2 for £230 (game on own = £45 so saving a few pints).
