Inspired by the recent postings regarding available light photography I decided to get a noctilux. I have a summicron 50mm in perfect condition, serial 37065xx, it is truly as new, with both lens caps, leather case, white box etc. The glass is pristine and the vulcanite is perfect. No signs of use. I'd like to trade this lens for a noctilux; of course I'll add $$$ to compensate for the price difference. I will also accept any reasonable offer if no trade deamed feasible.

I know that some of you will advise to keep the summicron, and of course it would be wise to do so, but I can't afford to have both.

I have just bought a Noctilux, but have decided to keep my 50 Summicron for the time being, until I have fully decided whether the cron is worth giving up. For the time being though, I have decided to sell of some of my contax SLR gear.

Have not used the Noctilux yet so cant comment on what its like, though, its bloody heavy and a bit too stiff to focus!
