We got our redbone!greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread
Just wanted everyone to know we got our redbone coonhound. Actually she's mostly bloodhound, and she's gorgeous. I've never seen such a laid back puppy in all my life! She's very calm and not jumpy and doesn't bark a lot. Of course, she may change personalities when she gets used to us. So far, she's a great dog. Thanks again for all the insights on these dogs from my previous question. Mary

Is there a way to send a pic? I would love to share one. She is 10 weeks old, her name (we think so far) is Julie, because she looks like a Julie. She wants to be outside, she is confused indoors and wants to sleep a lot. I guess she'll get used to it. She perks up when I come around which makes me glad. She has droopy ears and wrinkles on her face and sad eyes. Big feet too. And she is a lovely orangy brown color, which should deepen as she gets older. Mary

Have to share this one with you.
One day this salesman went to this old farmers house. The farmer and his old bloodhound was setting on the front porch and this old bloodhound kept moaning as if he was in terrible pain. The salesman asked the farmer, "Whats wrong with your dog?" The farmer said, "Oh he's laying on a nail thats poking up through the floor". Salesman, "Well why don't he get up and move to another spot?" The farmer replied, "He don't want to, he's too lazy to get up!"
