Witness the bitterness...

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

Check out the this Chelsea board, and witness the excuses for Chelsea's likely failure to finish above us.

"Were much better than Newcastle, how can they above us?"..blah blah blah.

Scroll further down and witness their reactions to the goals going in at the match. Hilarious.

Hilarious stuff. A lot of whinging, interrupted every now and then by a supporter who actually knew what he was talking about. I especially liked the "They'll struggle in the Champions League" threads, which means they're conceding it to us I suppose. Perhaps they're right - but if we do qualify for the Champions League I suspect the side that played today will have three or four expensive additions by then.

Exactly. What they seem to be saying is that they have better players than us and have some how been robbed!

What they seem to forget is it doesnt matter how good your players are, you have to have fighting spirit to win anything, something which this team has possessed all season, even during the poor displays.

All of which will serve us well next season.

I don't give a crap if we do badly in the CL (assuming we make it)

Well, I lie a bit, as of course I do, but my point is the money you make is a huge amount, even to fail in the CL makes you quite a bit of dosh.

Just by turning up we are denying Chelsea the chance to play in it.

I liked the one who said Chelsea were better because they've beaten Newcastle more than we beat them over the last few years.

Then one said, "that means Charlton are better than Chelsea since they've won the last 4" and the bloke was cornered, started mumbling about how he had great football knowledge.

I would love to qualify so Chelsea can't more than anything else at the moment. They don't have a devine right to play in the CL next season, nor does any team.

I also like the one who says he doesn't want to qualify for the CL as runners up as it would be humiliating, he'd rather qualify as atrue champions.

Clutching at straws a bit there mate :)

Not very nice of them to celebrate Shearer being on the floor dripping in blood.

When I got to the stadium tonight, I was greeted by a Chelsea fan on staff with "We're number 5! Or is it 6! Well, whichever....we're it!" Some of them are ok. :-)

I read through the posts and I was actually quite surprised how fair and level headed some of the posters were, especially the one called something like Irmster, and the one who mentioned the years we were 4th 2nd 2nd as clearly not ones when Chelsea were "better" than us.

The nice thing to see was that many ppl seemed to like us to get the CL-place and not Leeds (if Chelsea didnt get it of course). They have great respect for Robson and so on. I remember many from Sweden having Newcastle as their "second" team the last time we were good.

Yeah, quite a few of them were decent, but the ones that want us to qualify just so they can watch us fail make me laugh.

I think you got it arse about Paul, they want to see us qualify because they dont want to see Chelsea fail!
