I might be on, but the weather seems to good to stay indoors.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

I'm here, Kegsy. Stupid cable company isn't carrying today's match, so it's webcast and match thread for me.

Reporting for duty...

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Any team news yet?

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

I've just put Metro on so I don't know whether the team has been announced yet.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Is anyone else having problems with the webcast cutting in and out? I may be switching over to Derby's if this keeps up

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Any idea what the teams are?

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Here's the team:

Given

Hughes - O'Brien - Dabizas - Distin

Solano - Dyer - Speed - Robert

Cort - Shearer

Could be worse, but could also be better.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Team news filtering in: Hughes Dabs O'B Distin
Solano Dyer Speed Robert
Cort Shearer

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Cort starts then? Crunch-time.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Who's on the bench?

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Bloody John Anderson on Metro thinks we should have dropped Cort and played Jenas, with Shearer up front by himself. A minute later he says BR is right for persisting with Cort as he is a better player than his current form suggests.

Isn't that a pretty big contradiction?

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Ciara -- same in FL. Nearest British pub is 150 miles round trip -- after the Fulhamdebacle I have decided not to make the effort . Will have to rely on Metro's imarticulate commentators.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

They played a bit of interview with Bobby a few minutes ago. He thinks Bellamy will be ready to play in the Charlton match next week. Said the torn tendon has healed, but still showing a bit of tendonitis, which they think will be clear by next week.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Barton vs Robert, now that could be interesting...

Lua, Bernard, Elliott, Jenas and Harper on the bench

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

The webcast is driving me mental. I don't hear more than a sentence or two before the bliddy thing cuts out. Gonna try Derby's. They usually do good commentary though it means missing the blood-pressure raising tones of the metro idiot. ;-)

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Just don't listen to it, wait until after the match and then read this thread from top to bottom. It might be interesting.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Easy to say when you've got a radio! ;-)

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Yooooooooooooooooooo Hooooooooooooooooooooo

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Just got in at the tail end of a Rob Lee interview at Derby's site. Didn't say anything exciting, just that they need to play like they did against ManU.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Cannot stay, off to watch the match, Kegsy, 11 out of 11 for the team pick!!

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Why not wait until kick off, then go to sleep?

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Basically do the same as what most of the team did against Fulham.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

COME ONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN THE TOON!

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Derby announcer can't say enough nice things about our line up. Maybe his comments should be recorded to remind us that we aren't as bad off as other teams. ;-)

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

12 minutes to kick off

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Ravenelli on the bench. At least one potential scoring threat we won't have to worry about for awhile.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

The match is on Canal+ here in Finland. Howay the Lads!

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

The Metro pair have praised Christie and Strupar, saying the former is a handful and the latter has no pace but will take his chances well.

That's about it as far as talking about the opposition goes, except for how Lee and Barton will be up for it.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Derby's man in the stands is looking for comments from Derby fans, first guy he speaks to is a neutral only there because his wife is a Newcastle supporter...but they're sitting in the home end. oops.

Though he sounded a little too happy to say he hope "Derby beat them!"

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Maybe his wife has spent all his money on Bovril and crisps?

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Do we all agree that this one is a must-win, if we wish to finish 4th?

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

They're all must-wins at this point. Considering our record at Soton, we can't put ourselves into a situation where we're depending ona win there to put us in the CL.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

In literal terms it isn't a must win, as we can afford one loss even if Chelsea win all their games, but in reality, there are harder games to come so this is a must win to be honest.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Technically we don't need to win this BUT it would be nice to finally turn one of the games in hand to 3 points. We need to win for the three points and also to boost the confidence.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Any guesses on first scorer?

Gary Speed?

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Warren Barton for me.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

That too, Kegsy. ;-)

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Wsa going to say Christie but it didn't let me post so I'll say Strupar

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Hello all

Shearer to make it a double century very quickly today,

Shame about the team albeit exactly what most of us predicted.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

We're off

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Toon Army have made noise than 50,000 of us made at SJP on Monday already.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

First goal prediction: Robert.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

"Nice bright start from the Magpies"

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Robert with a weak header - started off quite well

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Dabs just gave away a f-k at the edge of the box

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Dabizas has "clipped" Christie and Derby have a free kick 10 yards outside the box.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

crap f-k into the wall

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

I did not just hear "Distin with the throw...straight to Barton"

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Robert feeds Dyer but Dyer is thwarted by their 'keeper.

"Good ball from Robert really"

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Sounds like Dyer and Robert doing well so far

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Good ball by Robert almost found Dyer

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Speed daudled (sp?) on the ball and Wozza did a crunching tackle. Really he did. No honestly he did

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Derby announcers saying this is the most energetic start they've seen from Derby in a few weeks.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Metro men reckon Speed should have been given a shout by Robert (of man on I presume)

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Halloo folks! (:o)

Let`s hope we get a decent result this time! HOWAY THE LADS!!!(:O)

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Referee is very pro-home. 50-50 decisions have gone to Derby

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Sky has just posted under 19's result in the FAPAL 19 NUFC 2 - Coventry 2

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Derby on top

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

We're normally more dangerous when the other team thinks they have an advantage. They start to get confident and push up.

Damn, Robert hits the bar

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Blistering shot from Robert - must have been 35 yards out - swerling and it bounced right in front of the keeper - corner

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

OOO!! Robert shot, onto the crossbar by Derby keeper!

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

I'm telling you, Robert is going to have one of his blinders today.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Metro commentator just said something that wasn't really too nice.

"David Pugh is the referee, from Merseyside, the players better watch their pockets"

Doesn't he realise football shorts don't have pockets???

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

As long as we can keep them from scoring, we should do ok. Let them tire themselves out in the first half, we score the winner in the 2nd half.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

"Nice turn from Cort"

20 minutes gone, no goals in the Premiership.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Anybody else lost the webcast? (:o(

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Strangley enough, the Metro bloke says the ref is David Pugh, whilst Sky Sports' online score thingy says it's Rob Styles.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Yep, webcast has totally died :(

URL for Derby anyone?

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Time for a broon. Anybody else want one as I'm at the fridge?

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Aye.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

I highly recommend Derby's: http://www.dcfc.co.uk/generalframeset.asp? topframe=soundvision/topbarsoundvision.asp&main=soundvision/broadcast. asp

You have to register at their site, but it's free and far higher quality than Metro's. The commentator is one of hte most balanced I've heard.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

the ref is a sub, the other one was injured or something. Not sure which one he is mind

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Yes Galaxy but just reconnected and it is ok at the moment (apart from the commentary that is)

Sky just announced that Schmichael has signed for Man City for next season

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

"Laurent Robert cleans up the scraps"

Is he the playmaker we're looking for? :)

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

I'll have one while you're up, thanks Kegsy. :-)

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Aieee...Derby nearly scored.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

poor passing and poor crosses - Solano just knocked a cross in 4 Derby defenders and Cort in the box and over all of them

Derby should have scored then - seems to be a continuation of the Fulham performance

great play by Shearer keeping the ball in

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Robert pass, Speed shoots from 30 yards and hits the target!

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Dyer needs to get forward more I feel. Speed is obviously staying fairly far back, so Dyer should really be a third forward, as Shearer stays reserved a lot of the time.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

1-0 to Leicester against Everton

No pressure now they're relegated or new manager boost?

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Charlton 1 Southampton 0

Everton 0 Leicester 1

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Our defence is shit - ooh, they've got the ball - panic. Ooh I've got the ball and they're running at me - panic.

PANIC PANIC. SORT IT OUT

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Robert mishits at the edge of the box after good link-up with Dyer.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

"SLIDE" is Metro man's favourite word

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Distin booked

Sounds like he hasn't been too good today so far.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Distin lost the ball and then brought down Kinkladze - booked

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

A sensible foul according to Metro co-commentator.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

2-0 to Leiester, 11-2 chance of a Leicester win looks good odds.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Hmmmm...are we that critical, or is Derby that sh*te? Derby announcers still waxing lyrical over our players, though it is still clear we aren't playing well. Interesting to hear commentary from the opposition when they aren't falling over themselves to find reasons to dislike us. ;-)

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

we would have been screwed had he got past - this is all Derby at the moment - DERBY FFS, not Arsenal, NOT Liverpool and NOT Manchester United . SORT IT OUT

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

leicester 2 up

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

"Super ball from Shearer to pick out Kieron Dyer"

It sounds like he's done more already than he did against Fulham.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Leeds winning 1-0 at Villa. Sh1t

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

OK, I`ve got half the webcast back - like every other word! Grrr!!! (:o|

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Metro reckon our movement is pretty good at the moment.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

That's why I switched over to Derby, Galaxy. I was getting that half- a-webcast syndrome from Metro earlier and just couldnt' take it anymore.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

I've got the same Galaxy. Perhaps we could exchange some words?

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

We would have thought if you were only getting one word out of ever two it would be twice as good as normal ;-)

Toon Army in good voice

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

I've gone onto the Derby site. They're OK but I sort of miss the incompetency that we've all grown to love from Metro...

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Solano was one on one and passed to Dyer - who was offside.

Shit.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Dreaful ball by Solano - we should have been 1-0 up. We caught them totally on the break, Dyer moved into an offside posaition and SOlano passed to him when he would have been better off shooting.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

That sounded terrible Solano clean through and he passes to an offside Dyer??????

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

True, Kegsy, but Derby announcers are making us sound like ManU/Liverpool/Arse. It's kind of a nice change. :-)

If we could just start playing like those teams, it would be even better! Hint, hint, lads!

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Why has Solano been so average recently? Even against Everton he didn't play too well over 90 minutes, despite scoring two good goals.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Strongly recommend you follow Ciara`s advice - I`ve now tuned into the Derby site and it is tons better! (:o)

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Ciara we look more like Charlton than Villa - let's hope Bobby does the magic at h-t cos we are pretty poor

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Hell of a lot of offsides, it's just like last season when Dyer used to get offside very often.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Toon Army around 4100 strong

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

that doesn't make sense - I mean we look more like Charlton than ManU or Arsenal

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

"Shearer kicking lumps out of Rob Lee" according to Derby radio.

Aah... old friends...

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Sounds like we've had some decent chances and decent build up at times, despite not playing too well according to some reports.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

afternoon, is this meant to be pleasure?

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Solano messes up the final ball again.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

metro is truly rubbish

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Decent chances? We've had a 35 yard shot (Robert), a 30 yard shot (Speed) and Solano pass to Dyer when offside - that's it. Oh yeabh and some poor crosses. Derby have had the chances and the possession around the 18 yard box.

H-T

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

How has Speed been? Better than against Fulham? Haven't heard a lot from Cort.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

My computer crashed about 2min before the HT whistle. I take it I haven't missed anything? ;-)

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

You missed the whistle, cracking noise, sounds like an old kettle when it's boiled the water.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Swift,

Check yer mail.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Corts had some good touches but he gets his runs all wrong - there's was one point in the first half where there was a lng ball - Shearer won the header and put it to exactley where Cort was and should have stayed, but Cort had run across the 18 box so was 5 yards away from the ball (Shearer's was the right decision).Speed hasn't done much but neither have any of the others. Struggling to find a man of the half

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Saw the 1st half on TV. Bliddy horrible, if you ask me. Cort needs to be subbed NOW.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Dyer making great runs

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Derby commentators chuffed when ball goes to Cort. They said "if it was played to Dyer, Robert, Solano or even Shearer they'd probably score"

He seems confused when in possesion, has no pace or vision. He isn't half the player of last season.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Given: had to deal with a few dodgy back passes Hughes: crap passes Obrien: Solid Dabizas: Doings OK Distin: In for a busy arvo Solano: Quiet, should have shot but passed! was unreal :P Dyer: Quiet, does this lad know what onside is? Speed: SHITE Robert: Stinging shot early on, looking good so far Cort: Some ok touches generally what he is, slow Shearer: Getting stuck into Riggot

Bring on JJ for Speed Bernard for Cort, he put Robert up front. This management lark aint too hard now is it!?

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

check your mail now mate, have you heard the jingle? METRO FOOTBALLLLLL! Where did they get his voice from? The sex offenders prison?

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

cort and speed just aren't up to it...at the minute. i think we should stuff feelings and get the best players on and win this bugger. theres a CL place at stake for crissakes... lets save egos for the summer, eh? bernard and jenas on...

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Yes and Leeds are winning so we MUST win. I have only heard scraps from the radio and it's not sounding good. Toon Army are really loud. Lets see the players give them something back.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

BR said he doesn't see Dyer and Jenas as a long term pairing for midfield. I think he's going to be fairly stubborn on this point and can't see Jenas appearing until 75-80 minutes or unless Dyer or Speed gets injured.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Off we go again - let's hope for something better

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

we CANNOT lose this game

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Cort just had so much tine in the box - good cross in and so Cort controlled it by it hitting his right leg bouncing onto his left and then going to a Derby defender. Nice Carl muppet Cort

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Derby sound more threatening than us, 2-0 looks more likely than 1-1 at the moment.

Bastards.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Robert just wide

Derby singing "You're not signing anymore"

I can't say I heard a whisper from them before they scored.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

So is this our end of season surge back down the table?

Bobby, bloody well do something! Get some subs on!!

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

shoot, score, easy

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Get Lua and Jenas on and go for the win

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

We did put our names into the Intertoto hat, didn't we?

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

We could lose 3 or 4 nil here.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

subs NOW!!!!

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Strupar just over the bar.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

luax2

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

This is getting embarrassing, now. We're on the way to getting stuffed by DERBY!!

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

we need to really go for this

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Derby will be in divison 1 next season.

We will be in Europe next season (Europe of some sort)

This scoreline is unbelievable, but we can't bloody give up now, we've come back from 2 goal defecits before, 4-1 down against Troyes and we ended up 4-4.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Who`s watching the match? Does it even look as though we`re trying?

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Derby keeper carrying a knock.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

nothings going our way

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

My faith in Bobby diminishes weekly. What the fuck is he thinking?

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

I`m actually glad I couldn`t find a bar with a tv....

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Warren Barton skins Distin.

I think maybe we shouldn't take up the option to buy him

Lua for Cort now.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Lua on for Cort

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

he could have a rest, a sleep or something?

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Lx3 on for Cort. Come on Lua!!!!!!

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Probably the longest we've given Lua to show his worth in quite a while.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Come on little Lua........now`s your chance to shine! (:o)

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

chelsea will be laughing

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

we are trying Galaxy but we are just crap - our distribution is poor especially crosses and anywhere near there box.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Robert miles off the goal with the shot.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

bollocks

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

This means we might end up needing to win at Southampton to get even 5th place, never mind 4th.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

30 minutes left, plenty of time for 3 goals...

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

FOr my money he should have been playing LuaLua for the last half a dozen games. Plenty of time for Cort to get his match fitness and confidence back in the reserves. Will probably be the usual story from LuaLua today - only gets a chance when we`re trailing and the opposition have packed the defence so he can`t find any space.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

I don`t know Kegsy - when did it all fall apart so badly? It can`t just be the Bellamy thing.(:o|

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

We still don't seem to have anything resembling a playmaker in midfield. Is all the play over the top, aimed at Shearer's head? That's the sort of football that p*sses me off big time.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

tiredness?intertoto?

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

blue shirts?

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Can't use that excuse for Robert, Shearer, Dyer, Cort, O'Brien

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

if we lose this, we HAVE to win the last 3 to even stand a chance. NOT gonna happen.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

DEFEND!!!!!!!!!

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

SOLANO has an effort cleared

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Get Jenas on now, I haven't heard Speed's name mentioned in the second half. Off the ball work counts for nowt when you're 2-0 down.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

It's really sad the Derby announcers have now figured out we aren't as wonderful as they thought.

Bernard coming on!

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Bernard on for O'Brien

Distin going to the middle

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

bernard coming on for o brien

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Bernard on for o'B.

HUH??????????

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Do you think we should recall Gavilan?

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

strange when o brien has a habit for scoring in important games

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

it's all down to confidence

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Shearer scored but offside - cracking volley

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Bernard for O'Brien. OK, but can we get the ball up the wings? Or are we incapable of not hoofing long balls up to Shearer?

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

B@RSTEWARD!!!!!!! Shearer scores, ruled offside.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

when is 200 199? when shearer has a goal disallowed

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Oh Christ - even when we score - it doesn`t count!!! (:o|

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Well the confidence wasn't helped by booing the team off.

Do you think these fans are happy now?

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

get f%%king forward

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

attack ffs

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Where is Bernard playing? He's not a central defender. Do we now hve 5 in midfield?

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Sadly, we've seen this sort of late-season collapse before, haven't we? How disappointing.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

lua lua attack comes to nothing

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Paul, the toon army have been loud and supportive today, so that's not much excuse for today's performance

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

shearer gets cut head

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Shearer and Lee clashed heads both pouring blood -

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

come on alan!

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Ciara, Bernard goes left back, with Distin moving to central defence I think.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Shearer bleeding like a stuck pig.....a coming together with Rob Lee.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

been out looking for a boozer that is showing the match - no luck. Next alternative sitting at home with 5 live.

Come on lads!!!!!!!!!!!!!

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Ah, that makes sense

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

alan gets cut head, metro cuts out - 2-0 down, what a shit day

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Yeah, I know, the away fans are usually superb, but 20,000 boos doesn't really inspire success.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Clear penality turned down.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

WE should have had a penalyt, Ravenelli was pulling 's shirt quite clearly - this ref is pants

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

This is so not our day! Ravenelli dragged LuaLua back, but no penalty given

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

free kick for robert

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Derby commentators saying Luax2 fouled in the box

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Seem to think it`s a broken nose for Shearer. What a grim flippin game this is......(:o(

Phewwwww

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

REALLY great to come back like that. Impressive!

The CL is so much closer now! Damn, I wanted to see this game on TV!

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Just for MacBeth...Warren Barton is applauding the Toon Army. :-D

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

whoooooohooooooooo!!!!! THREE BIG FAT ONES!!!! (:O)

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

What a comeback. I only heard the last 15 minutes, but it sounded like we could have 6!

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Oh my poor nerves. Thank f**k for that. Wozza applauding the Toon Army. Nice of him.

We have to start with at least Luax2 and hopefully Bernard and/or Jenas as well.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

They're playing Liverpool in a match they're bound to win. Hmmm.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

me, too, Sudden. I'm so bummed my stupid cable company quit carrying the saturday live match. :-(

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Shame for Barton and Lee, mind, but great for us. What a team! At least what a second team without Cort and Shearer and Lua Lua, Jenas, Bernard on. We've got ourselves a squad!!

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

I'm off for a well-earned beer. What a result!

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

that was one of the best toon 2nd half performances ever.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

pace pace pace, wins games doesn't it?

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Thank god for that...I need to see if I can find one of these pacemaker things to keep my heart going watching /listening to this lot.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

I have a headache now. But Im so so happy!!!!!

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Sudden - with the other 2 games, I get to shoot a load of germans. A slight and subtle change from my presonal life, but anyhow....we'll see what GTA is like.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Un - bloody - believable! Surely the last 15 minutes of this game must have shown YBR something. Speed (not Gary) kills!

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

win and draw one of our last games and its CL imo-

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

cort and speed go off and we win... i think we were all calling for that weren't we?

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Magic. I'm off out now to enjoy some sunshine. See you all later!

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

I tend to agree about pace (I would certainly start with Jenas and LuaLua ahead of Cort and Speed) but in Uncle Bobby`s defence having quick fresh legs at the end of the game is no bad thing.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

I'm not speculating. I'm just going to enjoy being fourth (?)

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

it worked a treat really didn't it?

enjoy the sun mate

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Hmm...i missed the subs. Jenas on for Speed? L3 on for Cort and Bernard on for ...?

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

Swift, Speed didn;t go off, but it shows we can woin without Shearer. Let's hope he's fit for next week and either Lua or Bellamy start up front with him

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

sorry, gary

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

More than anything, no Shearer and Cort meant we had to play football, not hoof and hope, and we are actually quite a good team of footballers when we put our minds to it.

Hopefully lessons will be learned from this.

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

told yas!!! ;-))))))

-- Anonymous, April 13, 2002

PHEW, I finally found an internet cafe, I've been on a bit of a safari (OK, drinking wine and beer....).

Great result - WE NEED THAT 4TH. PLACE!!!
