Terrible article. Dyer injured and they talk about Beckham 90% of the time. No mention of it being a problem for Newcastle. They even refer to him as 'the ex Ipswich player'. We have feelings too...

Well, to be fair Nick, the article is about World Cup 2002. And with the nation suffering it's second tradgedy in less thna two weeks, Beck's foot will get a lot of press (ouch!). One wag on the radio today even went as far as suggesting two minutes' silence and a lying in state for his appendage (foot, I presume).

Pulled up in training with a reaction to training on a hard ground. BR says the pitch was hard as we've had no rain. What the hell do we have hosepipes and watering cans for then FFS!!!!!!!!!

Sometimes you wonder how NUFC are a professional football club.

Looks like no KD for Sat then.........

Screach, is that you admitting to listening to Terry Wogan on Radio 2 !?!??!? My god, what a pair of old buggers we must be! I recently switched from Sarah Cox on R1 because she was annoying the tits off me

The lad is very very slight, no, skinny is a better word. Injuries one after another are worrying. Has the lad got what it takes, I'm asking myself?

If it's not much then he can maybe just rest it. He'll be gutted as his only chance of the world cup appears to rest upon playing in next week's friendly.

As for how it affects us...well he'll be missed from any game he doesn't play in but there's still Jenas to fill in. It's Bellamy who remains the crucial player for us unfortunately at the moment - our team seem to believe this anyway as they've forgotten how to win without him.

Another storm in teacup by the sound of it. Bobby let him skip training on the rock hard pitch just as a precaution.

Sounds to me like a few suet puddins wouldn't do the sickly youth any harm. :-{E}
