Lightmetering on EOS 1V

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Canon EOS FAQ forum : One Thread

Dear reader,

Is there anyone who can tell me about metering problems on the 1V. In this particular case it is a constant slight overexposure.

Thanks already,

Andre,

I don't have any problem with 1v over or under exposure. The metering works nice. I had a similar problem with an 1n (only some slides in a sequenze were over exposured) and I got it fixed at Canon CPS. It was still under warranty and they changed some electronics. Would have been very expensive without warranty. But you say all your pictures are over exposed - so just do some corrections. How much over exposure do you have? What type of film do you use? How did you find out that it's over exposure? Did you use old film? Did you take your film trough an X-RAY machine on an airport.......

So many questions - no real help for you?

Best, Martin

I purchased an EOS-1V 2 weeks ago and have not noticed any metering problem. In fact I compared it a Nikno F100, Leica M6 and M6TTL, Gossen Digilite and Lun Pro S meters. Using a grey card in afteroon sunlight all meters gave me the same exposure. I'd say it was pretty accurate.
