Compare and contrast E.A. Poe and Emily Dickenson. Mostly, in their writings. I just need some ideas for a English Paper. Thank You so much. Travis

There is no answer to your useless question

Both preferred short lyrical poetry. Poe was more literate, more dark romantic. Dickinson wrote more constricted and personally autobiographical material, shorter but more poetry than Poe. If uyyou lay up a poem side by side, say on death and immortality you will see a great difference in theme and style but beyond that Dickinson seems more an advance away from the English Romantic forms and ideas to a more existential spare simplicity.

I don't know who this other guy answering this question thinks he is, but THERE ARE NO "USELESS" QUESTIONS. And also, I agree with the other guy that gave the answer about them being very different, there are a lot of things that you could point out about their contrasts, but in comparison, there are very few things to bring up. Sorry.

Although Edgar Poe was a man and Emily Dickinson was a woman, they share in common that they are both dead.
