have you tried vcdhelp.com everything there to make vcds.I just got high speed net on march 18th and have converted many avi. files to mpeg1 I use the first conversion guide divx to vcd the tools are virtual dub,TMPGenc and vcd easy, To be honest I actual don't use the vcd easy program(it's for burning)I use nero because I already have it and I'm used to it.I must also ad that I'm total new to computers as well as vcds but that site is great and the guides are well written (if I can do it you can too).Good luck and if I can help more then let me know. P.S. If you already know about the site than sorry about the long reply.

Now really if I was that guy would I really be surfing around here trying to learn more and more info about vcds.I must say you made me laugh. oh yeah and ironically I am also a Jr. and before you ask I'm not his son. I would also like to mention that I like many couch potatoes sit on my couch with my hand down my pants

You can use another software that comes with AVI2VCD for decompressing called decompressm, it decompresses the audio of the avi file and then you can run AVI2VCD to convert that to MPEG1 format Thanks Jag
