Avid Xpress DV3 or Final Cut Pro

I've used both systems and I have to say, Nothing beats Avid Xpress. It can be a bit harder to learn but once you've got it, it has it ALL over FCP. Don't get me wrong, FPC is a good program. Version three being real time is certainly a big help. But Avid Xpress works, for the most part, like the big $30,000+ Avid systems and the controls, hotkeys, and shortcuts are pretty much the same.

Cost-wise FCP 3 and Xpress are comarable. And both have Mac and PC versions. If you know Avid, my advice would be to get Xpress.

Final Cut Pro is Mac only. It was developed by Apple.
