? on levamisole injectable

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Dairygoats : One Thread

The packaging says to use as soon as possible after seal is broken, it is in one of those self-sealing rubber topped jars. How long do you suppose is "as soon as possible"?? I have another doe due to kid at the end of the month do you think it will keep that long?

It should have an expiration date on it, I get it from my vet, and he says it is good for about a year....

Terri have to remember you are dealing with cattle information. They push in a big ole needle attached to a dosing gun, which is certainly not sterile. You are using a needle and syringe, very different. An of course can't talk about levisole, tramisole or levamisole without the warning, do not overdose this product, it can cuase neurological problems. You can double the dose but I wouldn't dose it higher than that, you still may see slobbering. Vicki
