The following table shows how to substitute and calculate how much fabric you will need in differant widths.For instance, if you need 1-3/8 yards of 54" fabric, but you can only find the type of fabric you want in 36" width, then you will need 2 yds. of the 36" fabric.

Need 2-7/8 of 54" fabric but only can find 60"? Then you will only need 2-1/4 yds. of the 60" fabric.

Karen, what does the "A" with what looks like an accent mark over it mean, and the * mean?I seem to remember the * meaning 1/4 or 1/2 or 3/4 on a typewriter, but don't remember which it is, lol.

LOL...I must have looked at that chart 10 times trying to figure out what in the world?? What "A" and "*" were you talking about?? Guess I should have read the next post before thinking I was going crazy...LOL!
