Let's praise our children's choirs

I heard an Africasn children's choir and it made wonder if we have any A.M.E children's choirs that have recorded. Also does your church have a children's choir? What do they sing?

Greetings Rev Rogers, Good to see you back. Children Choirs are important ministries within and outside the church. St Paul AME-Cambridge, MA has a wonderful children choir, Angels without Wings. They are kids from 5 to 12 years old. Each year there is a "passage" ceremony when the 12 year olds move to the Teen Choir, the Inspiration Choir. The Director of the Angels have 6 or so adult supervisors to help supervise the children. There are almost 100 kids involved. I can't name many songs of the top of my head but they do have a large variety and complicated songs in their repitoire. Last Feb they sang "All Black boys and all Black Girls are Heros" in salute to Black History Month. I can't carry a tune in a bucket so it is wonderful to hear them. The discipline involved in participation and the Christian foundation being established makes it an important function of the church as we realize we must support and encourage our young people. Wow! Brother Bob the children's choirs sound amazing. It would be great if they could perform at General Conference. Also have they recorded yet? Please keep us all posted about the youth in your church. Thank you for your good wishes, I am getting stronger, at least my doctors are letting me get out of bed.
