If we win 4 of our remaining 6 we are definitely going to finish level (on points) with Chelsea or finish above them. If we win 4 and draw 1 it's ours for sure.

If we win 4 and loose 2 then We need to assume Chelsea will at least draw 1 of their remaining 4 which they are likely to do. (Man UTD.)

So basically if we win 4 out of our last 6 and loose the other 2 we should finish 4th.

Chelsea have the borough, Villa and Man Utd.

Chelsea have 4 games left we have 6 games left. We are on equal points but have a worse GD so need to gain a point. Which means all we have to do is equal Chelsea for 4 games and for our 2 games in hand, (1 of which is this monday) take 1 point. So thats 1 point from 2 games. Then equal Chelsea for their remaining 4.

If Somehow Chelsea manage to win their remaining 4 games then we need 12 points from our next 6 games to level them on points. And 13 points to guarantee 4th place. We should be capable of picking up 13 points from a possible 18 and I think we will.

If somehow we fail to pick up 13 points from our last 6, then we rely on Chelsea to drop points.

Possible scenarios.....

If Chelsea drew 1 and won their other 3 games we would need 11 points from a possible 18 to be guaranteed 4th place. - That's 3 wins and 2 draws from 6 games or 4 wins.

This is more like Championship Manager fantasy football. There seems to have been more satisfaction generated from the exercise of working out the various possibilities, than actually facing the facts.
