Bacher said that by the next council meeting on Tuesday, April 16, he will have more answers on when the clean up is expected to finish. Bacher said that he hopes it will be done by the end of the year.

Bacher also said that Niagara Mohawk contacted him about errors in billing for the Kallet Civic Center. Niagara Mohawk said that there were errors in the way the Kallet's meter was read, and that Niagara Mohawk is allowed to go back two years and charge for back charges because of the error.

"Future Kallet bills could increase by $500 to $600 more," Bacher said.

The city owns the Kallet Civic Center, and pays for all utilities, Bacher said.

Bacher said it is possible that Niagara Mohawk could want $14,000 for two years worth of back charges, or $7,000 for one year of back charges.

First Ward Councilman Donald Skinner said he wants to fight the charges.

"We can argue with them," Skinner said. "It was their fault."
