We have 12 kids, that is 9 bucks and 3 does. I've got another doe due the middle of May and that's it.

We have had 13 does and 15 bucks with 8 more to kid later this month.

I have 6 so far with one more due at the end of the month. 4 does and 2 bucks. This was my first year kidding too and what a learning experience!

8 kids-four does, four bucks, out of four births. Nine more does still to kid.

33 so far, 17 does to 16 bucks and more coming soon, have 20 more to freshen in the next few weeks.

Bernice! Green eyed monster comming out here. Jealous. Hmmm, if we can come to an agreement I'll trade that big vacuum pump for somma them fresh does! We're signed on for 50 and have 30. It's a Surge 50 Vane pump and in demand currently (has oil recovery system) People keep trying to buy it but I need good milking does, not cash. Well that's a lie, but uncle sam doesn't know about barter. lol

Back to the subject, our biggest "litter" was three. That's not unusual, but they were all does! And no, we don't have any does for sale this year. We plan on milking 100 next year. Uh, wish us luck! We'll show the best ones, and plan genetics for the future, but right now a doe with a pendulous udder that produces 12 pounds of milk a day pays the bills and won't be kicked out for eating crackers in bed.

born on 3-29-02 two does and a buck.

-- george nh (rcoopwalpole@aol.com), April 06, 2002.

The count here was 3 bucks, 3 does, and the "mess". Triplets out of my queen, twins from one first freshener, a single from the other first freshener. And on that milking issue and breeds, these were all Swiss breeds bred to a Nubian buck and they are all in heavy milk!

Five does, four bucks, all first offspring of my yearling buck(and all born in the cooold of January). Three bucks were wethered, and, thankfully, were sold this week, all but the one doe I'm keeping are spoken for:) Last doe due to kid in June.

-- Sharon in AL (sharonspaws@aol.com), April 06, 2002.

I own two does and they gave me 7 kids ,5 does and 2 bucks. Not to bad for our first year of kidding.

-- Marlene (homestead@110.net), April 06, 2002.

Kidded here at the farm, 9 bucks and 5 does with one left to go. The yearlings that were sold with doe kids back, had all bucks and 2 doelings. So far we will be raising 10 doelings for next year. The opposite is happening at the farms in which I have deposited bucklings. One is due Monday, but the other farm both 1st and 2nd choice had all doelings :) Biggy is how healthy everything is compared to the very scarry January and Febuary lots of other folks had! Vicki

Well, this was our first year so we only had two to kid. First one gave triplet does (nubian) and second gave a big 'ol buck (NubianX Nigerian Dwarf) who is now a wether. Looking to get one more milker for this year and trying to decide what to do for next. I know Dennis and Vicki's opinion on breeding first year, how about everyone else? Cara

-- Cara Dailey (daileyd@agalis.net), April 18, 2002.

Had 29 kids from 12 Nubian does. Only 1 died. All born in January. Two sets of quads and 3 triplets. One of the does just delivered a single yesterday. Left the young bucks in to long with their mother.
