Is there any way of touching up a black M where the black has worn off slightly and the silver is showing through?

Why? It's patina and hopefully the result of a lot of good and pleasurable photography.

George, may be you are right. No particular reason, since I will never sell it, except to keep it looking its best. A bit like painting over the scratches on a car.

I've gathered together a couple of suggestions on touching up black chrome in the FAQ at: nemeng.com/leica/ 022e.shtml

It should be brass color under the paint, not silver....

Sorry!
