NIKON N65

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Camera Equipment : One Thread

hi I just bought a nikon n65 and a 28-80 3.3-5.6 G nikkor zoom lens I am very new to SLR's so don't know if it's a problem with the equipment. When I put my camera on autofocus mode and lens setting on AF mode and shoot something the view through the view finder looks proper but after that sometimes the view finder becomes kind of black and it never focuses again.always the out-of-focus light blinks. If I remove the lens and put it again voila ..it looks clear again.

if i am doing something wrong or the camera is gone.I bought it from ebay and the camera is refurbished

Do you have film in it? My 8008 will often not autofocus right unless I have film in it, wound to at least the first frame. It makes a little noise and gives up trying to focus. With film, it works OK.
