A Matter of Quality

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Pentax 67 SLR : One Thread

After reading a number of posts concerning recent P67 quality issues, it is clear that Pentax has a problem with quality in their 67 line. The posts by Ken and Joachim about body problems and lens issues of late, point to a serious company problem. The 67 line has not had a serious manufacturing variance situation with their older bodies and lenses(Asahi, Pentax, Super Takumar, Takumar)but with higher production, caused by the increased popularity of MF, they seem to be slipping. They sure wouldn't win the Deming Prize for Quality in Japan.
