I am trying to write an essay on how Poe contributed and changed the way of writing. Could anyone help me please?

I just wrote an essay on the exact same subject. I found that some of his contribution to the short story genre were his insistence that every element of his work contribute to the story's overall effect, development of dialogue(Ex. "The Cask Of Amontillado"), and his aeshtetic demand for realistic motivtion by making his central character or narrator so psychologically obsessed with a mysterious phenomenon that everything in the story revolves around it.

I found this information in some very well written critiques by Benton and May.

I found an abundance of information about this question right in all of the questions and answers in this site -- also research the purloined letter and his detective dupin -- he is considered the "first mystery writer" because of these stories and I read about this a number of times while researching these stories.
