According to Rich's posting on the LUG, neither the M7, 21-35R nor Duovid (whatever that is) are included in Leica Day discounts. Otherwise, they're a great way to buy Leica and Rich is a great guy to buy it from.

Someone just emailed me this link and thanks all for the nice words!

To fill in an answer about Leica Day and the M7...Leica is offering a two year extended warranty as the promo on Leica Day for the M7.

I'm going to ask if I can also discount them, but the answer might be "no." I suspect that will be the case for all dealers if it is the case for me.

The Digilux I will indeed be eligible for the discount, but the 21-35R lens and the Duovid won't be. Just about everything else is.

If anyone has heard differently I'd love to hear about it, but I just read it off a Leica memo an hour ago or so.

Lastly, let me invite anyone to call or email with questions about anything Leica, Nikon, Hasselblad, Mamiya, Cone Tech or otherwise photographic as I'm going to expand the business this year.

Is this 2 year warranty that is being offered the same as a passport warranty? Is there a passport warranty available for the M7?

As I understand it, the 2 year warranty is in addition to the 3 year Passport. After the all inclusive Passport expires, there is 2 more years of limited warranty coverage for a total of 5 years. The usual retail value of this extended warranty is $125.oo
