Let's get this forum back on track:I heard today from my local (Chicago) dealer that Leica has reinstated the $200.00 rebate on M cameras and lenses. He did not know if the M7 would be included.
Confirm with your dealer before buying on this advice.

i believe the $200 rebate is for the M6 TTL only. Time to clear out the stock...

Rebates - yes. M7 - no! (also not on the duovid binocs or the 21-35 or the 15 - sorry!)So clean up on an obsolete M6 TTL .85!

Rebates rarely if ever apply to newly introduced products. Don'y hold your breath waiting for the M7 rebate.

I think Leica is offering a free extended 2 year warranty on the M7. That's a $125.oo retail option if memory serves me. Not $200.oo off the price, but better than nothing. Considering the newness of the camera, and its' more complex electronics, it may be worth even more 4 or 5 years down the road.

How does that 2 yr extended warranty compare to a passport warranty? Is the passport warranty available for the M7?

Mer's,According to Craig at Tamarkin, Leica is offering a $200 rebate on M6's but not on the lenses.
