Is anyone on here a member? My mate signed me and himself up so I no nothing about it. I recieved a membership card which I must take when wanting to go to away matches. We applied for the Aston VIlla match and are apparently going. I know that I have to be at strawberry place tomorrow at 1:45 to go on one of the official club coaches. My mate says he's got 2 tickets for me and him through the post. Apparently these are not match tickets but just tickets to get us on the coach. He THINKS the match tickets will be given out on the coach.

Does anyone know the situation here or is anyone a member?

I cannot contact him until tomorrow. He seems pretty confident we're just going to go down and get our tickets but I don't have a clue how it works.

Anyone?

Well if you mean I am trying to trick you then NO.

If you mean my mate is tricking me then definitely not because he applied months ago and told me he was doing it. My main question is How are the tickets given out. We have a ticket each to get us on the coaches. Then on the coach are we given our match tickets? Or does an official guy on the coach hand in 40 odd tickets at the Villa turnstile and we just walk through.

I just want to know how it works.

To get a match ticket you have to apply to the ticket office with a voucher from your season ticket, or if your lucky enough may be able to buy one from the ticket office in person if there are any left over. You won't get one from the travel club, just your return travel to Villa park.

Taken from NUfc.com

"There are exceptions to this: a small number of tickets are always available to those travelling on the official club transport - in theory you could be a member of this scheme and go to every match without being a season ticket holder. However you can only purchase a package consisting of ticket for the match and travel together."

This is what I have, It's a package Something like £50 for a ticket and your journey.

You can get tickets from the travel club. And me and my friends tickets are reserved. I was just wondering if anyone knew what happens tomorrow, when and where do we get given the tickets?

Wouldn't worry about it Jim, if your tickets are reserved, just go down and enjoy the game. And of course return with the three points.

Well travel only is around 20 pounds, I used that last season for the FAC replay at Villa after obtaining my match ticket through the box office. Don't know anything about the package with match tickets, but if you're paying 50 pounds each then you'll have a right to be upset if they don't include match tickets. ;-) I don't recall match tickets being handed out on the bus, but I was one of the last ones to board, so it's possible they could have been handed out earlier. Or it may have been different for a cup match. Maybe best to call the club tomorrow morning to confirm, or plan to arrive a bit early and ask at the box office windows or reception desk.

Are you sure you've got the right coach? I'm just wondering if you should be taking your boots...

I've sorted it all out! I just got in touch with my friend.

Incase any of you are interested you get a checklist at the start of the year with games and their prices for the full journey to the game and back to SJP + a ticket. I'm pretty sure u don't need to be a ST holder for this even though me and my friend both are.

Southhamptons are over £100 and AV's are about £40-50 it all depends on what the club charges for tickets and then the distance.

Anyway you apply a couple of months be4 the game u want to go to and they order you a ticket.

This is good for some1 like me who doesn't go to a lot of away games because stupidly the travel club gets a certain amount of tickets for each away game to sell to whoever it wants. So loyalty and how often you attend away games doesn't come into it.

And finally you get sent a ticket for the coach that prooves you've bought your ticket and your tickets are given to you on the bus.

Thankls again for the help.

I would have thought the club have to sort out tickets or at least ensure you have tickets before you get on the bus. Just imagine, the police would blame the club for any bother as the club officially allowed ticketless fans to travel to an away game.

We have tickets for the coach which proove we are entitled to a match ticket. Without these we wouldn't get on the coach. So there should be no ticketless fans. Obviously some fans who got their tickets through vouchers and who just want the travel will probably be on different coaches to those who are owed a ticket. And I would imagine that they would have to produce their ticket before being let on the bus.
