Any body attend National Commercial Rabbit Conference Oct. 19-20, 2001?

I have an interest in getting started in rabbits and after reading some and searching/researching some, came across this Cooperative Start Up called "North American Rabbit Cooperative" which was/is being set up "to explore opportunities in commercial rabbit production" and was part of the National Commercial Rabbit Conference Oct. 19-20, 2001

"The conference is designed for established rabbit producers or for anyone thinking about getting started in rabbit farming as an alternative to increase farm income," said Wayne Prewitt, farm management specialist at the Vernon County Outreach and Extension Center. More than 700 rabbit growers from 26 states and three Canadian provinces have expressed interest in joining the new cooperative, Prewitt said.

So was wondering if any body went to it or knows about it.

The meeting was a success as far as attendance went, but the results were disastrous. The Cooperative, then known as NARCI, has split in half and both sides are attempting to re-organize amid an upcoming court battle. All we can do is wait and watch.

Pat,

Thanks for the information, I was hoping that it might be a directional source for me. Guess I'll keep looking.
