Could anyone please tell me how Hex editor be helpful in editing VCD Bad sectors to save in the Harddisk.

If you could interpret every byte of a MPEG-1/2 file on a computer screen (and understood the exact format that is was meant to be in) then in theory you could fix a bad block, look at a byte eg. 0xA0 and say, "That's meant to be 0xA1" and change that byte to 0XA1.

However, being able to do this is very unlikely, to say the least! What you more likely could do with a hex editor, is change a known byte at an offset to a known value, to invoke some video resolution change or recondigure a default setting.

use vcdgear to fix bad mpeg sector. That's your best bet of repairing corrupted mpeg file. That does not mean you will get everything back to normal.
