Would you sponsor individuals/families to attend a medical conference?

We have a 7 year old son with Lowe Syndrome, a life-limiting genetic disorder affecting the eyes, brain and kidneys primarily, he is the only child in Scotland affected by this. There is no expertise of LS in Scotland, indeed in the UK. We attend the medical conferences held by the Lowe Syndrome Association in the USA every two years, which are invaluable and have already saved his life twice. Now our son has begun having seizures, the help we need from the LSA is critical to all our families' well-being. Do you ever sponsor families to attend medical conferences, or do you know or any charities who could help us with our costs, which accrue and will do so every two years until he dies. Regards, Fiona E Fisher

Unfortunately the Foundation can only assist recognised charities which fall within their criteria. We are unable to assist with any sponsorship and are also unable to fund individuals.
