Does anyone agree that the first half against Everton was the quietest SJP has been all season?

There were spells in that first half when you could literally hear a pin drop in the ground (although you're not allowed pins in as they are classed as weapons)

I shouted "get in there" when Jenas made a tackle and felt a bit weird as I could almost hear it echo. The crowd seemed half asleep to be honest, and I'm not loud enough to start up chants etc.

The second half was different, but we're getting back to the stage where we only make any sound if we're playing well and or putting in hard tackles left, right and centre. It's strange how some people appreciate a mistimed tackle from Dabizas that gives away a free kick more than a great pass through the middle from Robert or Solano.

Got to agree, the atmosphere was poor. Like most crowds these days there is little supportive noise unless something happens on the field. I suspect the days of the crowd lifting the players has gone for ever.

It usually takes some filthy tackles from the opposition or some dreadful refereeing to get the crowd really fired up. Friday owed more to giving away soft goals than anything else. Can't blame folk for being jittery adter Ipswich.
