Travis, I really liked the first shot of the beach (vacation), this one, to me, looks a little flat (but beach lighting often is). The lone palm frond hanging down in the top middle seems out of place too.I wonder if the right filter would have jazzed the sky a bit more and added some better seperation in the sand.
I'm being rather picky... I'd say its overall a quite decent, but not outstanding image.

thx charles...it was the best i could do at that time...really hot and humid and shiny...i had to hide under the tree shade to shoot this..my eyes were squenching??...the best i could do..really.

best I could do. really..Travis, don't ever say that when you know your capable of much better. Apologizing for shoddy technique is a birthcry for stagnation. How can you make the shot better next time?

I really like it, though I would've cropped out the distracting branch at the top of the frame, or included more for effect. Good work. You obviously have a great eye for B&W. One I am still struggling with.
