EOS 300 Lens

What lens would you recommend for the above camera to take photos of buildings ect for the Images of England Project. Look on www.imagesofengland.org.uk.

If you can afford them, or rent them, the tilt and shift L series canons will be you best bet. I have used the 24mm and the shift featurevery usefull in making those convese lines straight. They are availible in 24mm, 45mm, or 90mm. good luck.

While a tilt shift lens would be nice it is very expensive. Given that the Images of England pictures are primarily for display on the web and that you are using relatively fast film then a good zoom (shooting at say f11-16) is fine provided it goes wide enough. I maily used my 24-85 f3.5-4.5 with the occasional awkward shot where I reverted to a 20mm f2.8.
