Exta money from the homestead can easily be made from a small garden plot and the poor mans greenhouse. Easter lillies, Mother's Day and cemetary decoration arrangements can easily add a couple thousand dollars to your purse. Three stalk lillies sell for $20 to $30 apiece around here and potted arrangements for the second Sunday in May easily bring $10 to $15 each. Just a thought for next year.

Jay you sound like your ready for T.V.! Maybe Ronco would be interested in you as a spokes person (LOL). All I can say is more power to you and it must be nice to live in a warm climate.

Come down for a vacation some time and we'll turn you into a "Dang Yankee". The definition goes like this, "A Yankee comes to the South to vacation and spend their money, A Dang Yankee is one that stays South after their money is spent , because they like it." I can't repeat the names Daddies have for yankee boys that qualify for the first two conditions, then marry their daughters (Son in Law usually isn't one of the names for quite some time :>)

Jay you are forgetting that hald of me has VERY southern roots. My mother is Scarlet O'Hara! I lived in South Carolina for a summer, too hot for me. My body can't handle that sort of heat! One day I might come for a visit though!
