Was Bernard scoring a bad thing?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

The lad will never get ahead of Robert at left wing so should be looking at getting in at left back. Him scoring a goal just makes him look like more of a midfielder. He'd have been better served by staying at the back and tackling hard.

Thoughts?

It's never a bad thing when a player in Newcastle United strip scores!

....as long as it's in the opponent's net.

Just in case any of our players are lurking and might confuse that statement to include our own net. ;-))
