Voltage Regulator Querygreenspun.com : LUSENET : CB550 : One Thread
Just got a CB550 with a bad voltage regulator, causing a steady discharge of the battery until, two days later, there's no juice left. My mechanic wants $225 for the part and is no longer my mechanic. Somebody on another thread suggested using a part from a CB600 - does anybody have any suggestions for generic or other-model replacements for this part so I don't have to shell out big $$$ for a vintage electrical component that will probably break again in a year's time?

Hello, you can get that part off of a website. Its a cycle shop located here in Indianapolis,IN. There are good, honest guys there. It will cost you about $10 for the voltage regulator. http://www.crc2onlinecatalog.com/ They have just about everything for that bike.
