Any ideas for Easter dessert?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Cooking & Crafts : One Thread

I am taking a dessert to my Dad's for Easter and need some ideas! I would like to use what I have on hand, I don't have any cool whip, so that ingredient is out. I do have just about everything else. I would prefer something fruity, not chocolate. Any ideas??? I was thinking of a tray of cookies, iced ones, lemon and orange flavored, any recipes or other kinds I could make???.... My brain just isn't coming up with anything here!!!!

How about a "Cherry Pizza"?

Make graham cracker crust fixins and press in a pizza pan. Bake lightly. Add layer of softened cream cheese mixed with little bit milk ,enough to spread. Sprinkle with sugar. Add canned cherry pie filling. Chill. This is good cold or room temperature. Good with or without CoolWhip.

Banana pudding is always good.

Loaf type cakes are good, such as banana nut bread, cranberry bread, zucchini bread.

Thanks! Since the site was down yesterday, I thought up banana bread and a large fruit tray, featuring chocolate covered strawberries. Sounds good!
