What days are best for after-work O' practice at SMP?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : orienteer kansas : One Thread

It is about time to start some regular after-work O' practices (and jogs) at Shawnee Mission Park. To figure out a good schedule, please post your answers:

1. What day and time is best to run at SMP after work?

2. How often should we meet? (In the past, we've done every other week).

3. Do you have any other suggestions or thoughts about O' practice sessions during the week.

Answers

1. Any day is fine for me. Tuesdays or Thursdays are best, but any day would work.

2. Once a week.

3. If we meet every week, we could do some sort of O' practice every other week (with just trail runs with a map on the non-O' practice weeks). For the O' sessions, we could assign a different person to design the session each time.

I talked with Dan and he said Wednesdays are best for him, Tuesdays are no good.

Tomorrow is the PTOC Monkey Mountain meet. Let's talk about the best day at the meet.

I've talked with a number of folks and it looks like the answer is...

THURSDAYS

I'll do a little organizing and get some more info out soon.

Look for the first session to be this Thursday, April 11, at Wyandotte Lake (details posted soon).

Any day is fine. Consistently the same day of the week would help. 6pm, especially after Apr 7 and daylight savings begins. Maybe some yellow level courses for intense speed runs to get ready for the relays, TT style or mass start. Of course, some TTs on the Trail.
