Springtime in Geordieland

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

There're worse things to be than alive in the springtime. The sun is shining. We don't have to go to work on Friday. We've got a match on Friday. The sun is still shining. My little son is almost ready to talk. This sunshine has brought lots of ladies' wobbly bits out into the open. My missus is pregnant again (Leeds. Away. I got excited.) Everyone has taken the last of their holidays so it's dead relaxed in the office with only a skeleton crew. Did I mention that the sun is shining? Ah, me.

Congrats Softie and Mrs Softie! Hopefully Mrs Shearer won't grab the last maternity bed again. ;-D

Will we have to wait ages again while Mrs Softie completes her task in this operation?

-- Anonymous, March 27, 2002

I fear that she probably would if she could jonno, however, there is a high probability of this being a caesarian so we might actually have to start puffing on cigars early this time.

Don't women moan on where they are pregnant? Honestly, if I went on like that every time I had a particularly firm stool to deal with....;-)

Hope all goes well , if it is a c section itll be a while for the next , Wor lass has been told not to even think about another for 18months minimum. Oh and its forcast to piss down sat ..:-(

-- Anonymous, March 27, 2002

...... he she told you not to even think about it for 18 months, kennyboy?

Softie - don't know about you, but I find our stools always have one leg slightly shorter than the others, and they're never really firm. Many congratulations to you and Nic btw.

Congratulations to you both. Hope it's all goes smoothly...the pregnancy and your stool, Softie.

Clarky , luckily it was a section so she never had the pain of labour , and the dont u go near me Kenneth thomson you bastard... But theres allways next time eh?

-- Anonymous, March 27, 2002

Congrats.

18 months ? All three of mine were c sections and there's not 18 mths between any of them ! However, they did recommend not having any more than that. My ex-wife was cut in the same place for all three and the suggestion was that being pregnant again may cause it to open of its own accord ! Not nice.

This post was obviously on a need to know basis !!

Why not just install a zip???

-- Anonymous, March 27, 2002

Softie, do you still remember any Afrikaans?

If so, very droll (double meaning!) my mate!

Best wishes to yourself, Nic and Bobby!

For what, Homer's missus or Softie?

-- Anonymous, March 27, 2002

If you were installing it on my ex-wife, it's not her womb I'd like to zip up. Can you also add a place to padlock the zip at the 'closed' side of her mouth as well please ?

-- Anonymous, March 27, 2002

I just developed deafness for that Homer, the hand signals were even more off-putting while I was trying to watch the telly.

-- Anonymous, March 27, 2002

That'd be OK. I never made her chain long enough to see her in the kitchen.

-- Anonymous, March 27, 2002

Cor! You mean you had to get up and fetch your own beer? A man could lose pounds doing that...

-- Anonymous, March 27, 2002

Fetch my own beer ??!!?? What do you think I had kids for ?

-- Anonymous, March 27, 2002

Im looking for a pygme with a flat head who turns into a curry at midnight!!

-- Anonymous, March 27, 2002

-- Anonymous, March 27, 2002

Well done mate, but NEVER mention bairns to wor lass in the unlikely event of you meeting her. Ever since my mate got his missus pregnant, her indoors has been cooing and clucking and going on about it. She's only 26 for christ's sake...

Seriously, best wishes for everything.

aye, keep all talk of bairns oot or wor hoose, her paternal clock is looking more like Big Ben every time she sees one. I come home of a night and find her watching shows on childbirth and kiddies and decorating childrens bedrooms.

my word! let that slip out amongst the sunshine, match and wobbly bits (well the after match Euphoria). I suppose Nicola will be wooried if we ever win anything? Twins perchance!!? Nice to hear.

-- Anonymous, March 27, 2002

Hmm, nice image there Softie. Kinda makes me re-evaluate my ten years in the obstetrics business!

Congratulations (again).
