Anna,

Typically, people choose a Confirmation name from holy people of the Bible, or Christian Saints who strove to imitate Jesus and live his teachings.

If you like the name Patricia, it may interest you who St. Patricia is:

"St. Patricia according to legend, was of a noble and perhaps royal family in Constantinople who fled to Italy to escape marriage and became a virgin consecrated to God in Rome. She returned to constantinople, distributed her wealth to the poor, and then went back to Italy;, where she died soon after, at Naples. She is a patron of Naples, and like St. Januarius there, a vial believed to be filled with her blood reportedly liquefies thirteen hundred years after her death. Feast Aug. 25"

I found this information at this website.

You can learn a lot about holy Christians through the ages when you go to the index.

In Christ,

Mateo

You mean it wouldn't be allowed as the feminine of Patrick?

I did not write that it wouldn't be "allowed." The "feminine of Patrick" was my first thought as well before I discovered that we already have canonized saints named Patricia.
