Chopra

I have never seen him play so what kind of player is he? Is he big/small, fast/slow, how does he score his goals, what are his weaknesses and strengts? What I wanna know is, is he ready for the first team? Now when Cort doesnt seem up to it shouldnt Chopra at least be subbed in to a couple of games. Or are Ameobi and L3 so much better.

A Promising player

I've seen Choppy 3 or 4 times now for the resorves and he is a goodun. He makes the game look easy to play. He's played wide on the right and up front. His greatest assess imo is his positional play - regardless of what is going on around him he fits in and when the ball finds him he has time. Y'know his head is up and he is ready.
He scored 3 last night and will no doubt get all of the headlines this morning but in reality the hat trick was only a good player doing his job. Bradford were very poor in midfield and defence.
He's small and quick and confident, I see a little of Peter Beardsley's brains and I see similarities to Juninho(sp?) when in full stride. Good eh?
The first team may just be a little beyond him at the moment but I'm 100% sure that when he does make the step up he'll do something which will have SJP drooling. I'm hoping he can get a cameo in one of the 'easier' games this season.
I’d just like to add that LuaLua is making progress – that’s the best I’ve seen of him by a mile. He played a kind of floating role but I feel this is the best we’ll see of him, trying to fit him into a disciplined team formation may prove beyond his talents, but you never know.

indeed H'n H I read the .com report and while not having seen him live Lua crops up in three of the four goals it seems. It sounds like he needs to play just behind the strikers...ok maybe cack but there you go.

What strikers?

I commented last week that Lua2 is hopeless if he's in midfield and tries to beat 2,3 and 4 players, he isn't THAT good. If he plays as a forward, on the edge of their defenders he opnly has to beat one to create a chance.

I was always keen for Dyer to play there last year as he added pace to the otherwise static forward line, luckily we have Bellamy now :0)

Lx3's body langauge as he went off last night was openly defiant. He had played well, and the crowd were giving him a standing ovation. As he strutted off acknowledging the crowd, to me he was saying to the watching BR "ignore me if you dare!". Pure theatre - I loved it.

I would definitely play Lx3 up front with either Shearer or Cort on Friday, possibly resting Shearer for one game, as reward for his performance last night - and tell him to fill CB's role right up front, creating as many problems as possible for the Everton defenders.

Cort needs the games, and Shearer doesn't do 'rest' :-) Does this performance mean LuaX4 is finally hanging up his red nose and custard pies and starting to plan a football career?

If he's starting to show a bit of grit about him, then perhaps he'll be on the bench to replace Cort in the 2nd half on Friday.

If we can confirm our 4th place (or better?) Chops will make a senior debut at Southampton :-)

Lua was no different last night to the other reserve games I've seen to be honest.
