VCD Problems

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

I make my vcd by taking the avi file and encoding it and burning it with the program Nero. When i insert them into my vcd player they run as they did on my computer (which is good) for about 2 minutes at the most, then the sound either goes ahead of the picture or behind. Either way they eventually do not correspond. Is there any way i can prevent this problem? Are there steps in the vcds creation that i am doing incorrectly?

I use the program TMPGEnc to encode my avi file. I found that sometimes the sound would not match with the video. With that program, I found going to the option's menu and selecting environmental setting..., than click on the VFAPI plug-in tab. If all of the boxes are checked, uncheck the first box marked AVI2 (OpenDML) File Reader. I have found that my files are fine after they are encoded now.
