Do you worm your rabbits ? If so how often and with what ?

I have never had to worm any of my rabbits. Pin worms are most often acquired from allowing rabbits to graze on grass which has been soiled by dogs and cats, or sometimes, from show tables.

Please remember... the more drugs and medicines you pump into your rabbits unecessarily, the more dependent they will become to the medications. Meat growers rarely, if ever, medicate their rabbits in order to keep the meat residue free and the herd healthy and with strong immune systems.

The only thing I ever used was pour on cattle ivormec. It was used to treat severe ear mites when I originally bought from the Amish. It is not labeled for rabbits but not only took care of the mites but wormed them as well. Very expensive and would not do it routinely but it did work. This was also used before I started breeding.

Please be careful using it on dogs. I know that Border Collies are extremely sensitive to it and it should not be used on them. Denise & Bandit (my Border Collie!)
