what happened in poe's life that made him write about death such as in the tell-tale heart and the masque of the red death

When he was a child he lost his mother to tuberculosis. Later on at about the age of 15 he had a woman that was like his mother figure as well as a lover that he lost to TB. When he got a little older he married his cousin Virginia Poe. After they got married she also dies of tuberculosis. That's part of why he always write about deathlike in "Masque of the Red Death" the red death is tuberculosis. And "Anna Belle Lee" Is about Virginia.

he was the way he was because he was not as blind as the rest of the world he seen it how it really was. it is a screwed up place and that is how he seen it. and what he lived he was living life that he din't like. so that made him only wish for deeath which he finally got.
