Narrowed it down.....Billingham Hadley VS Hadley Pro

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Leica Photography : One Thread

After posting two other posts I've finally found out what I wanted. I am quite sure that the Hadley will fulfill my needs, but I have a couple of questions I need answered before comitting.

1. How do they compare in size, storage and weight? 2. Can they fit an A4 size paper, like my F-803 can? 3. Is it a good travel bag? For fitting an M6, 35 Lux, 50 Nocton, 90 APO and flash with SC-17 + travel documents, wallet, A4 papers, pens, mobile phone, etc.

This will be my last post, so please help "Hadley users". By the way it would cost me AUD$220. Not a bag deal I guess.

Kristan, are you perhaps mistaken? The Hadley and the Hadley Pro are exactly the same size. Only 3 features separates them - the Pro has an additional zipper compartment on the back, a carrying handle and has the capability to accept optional Avea 3 pouches. As for fitting A4 paper, I believe it can be done based on the specs shown. For A$220, you're getting a good deal 'cos here in Singapore, one shop is asking S$275 for the Pro model is approximately A$300.

I'd go with the pro... I have one myself and the carry handle is pretty useful when you're grabbing the bag from the car, the ground, etc. Also, the zipper pocket in the back allows you to carry a notebook while also carrying a filter case in the main compartment. AVEA isn't really that necessary though and makes your kit bulkier than it needs to be.
