I have SthSVCD 5.5. It has been working great, until now. The problem I have is that it plays an SVCD, but no audio. I uninstalled & re-installed, still no more audio.

I checked my DVD drive can play DVDs & execute other files properly, my volume control is up, still no audio from my SthSVCD player.

Any clues to clue me in?

I had the same problem. The audio worked allright but instead of the digital coax output it preferred the rca analog output... I reconfigured my DVD player (switched digital output setting from all to PCM only) and now it works!
