LIVERPOOL

no question

4th place is our main aim this season

Draw

PS wouldn't it be fun if we caught ManU along with Chelsea - they then lose the Champions League final and finish 5th.

Ah well I can only dream.

Has to be the Mickeys. We need to maintain a gap back to 5th place.

A draw is my preferred outcome or the Liverpool win.

Agreed with Jonno, a draw is the ideal case. Otherwise, I'll take Liverpool win. Next week: We beat Everton, then Leeds beat Manure and we may finish above Manure at the end of the season.

I'm with jonno and Gilbert on this one.

Wanting Liverpool to win today, means you've given up on the Toon winning the Premier League.

A draw will keep Chewsea, 2 points behind us and we'll have 2 games 'in hand'.

As for wanting us to catch Chelsea josh, I dunno how we could do that, they're currently 2 places and 3 points behind us?

Er Bud, I think Josh meant us and Chewsee to catch ManUre. At least I think he did.

Point taken Screach, a tad ambiguous to us small print perusers, nevertheless ;-)

I can't decide. I keep saying that title challenges can be few and far between and we shouldn't give up on this one until it's absolutely dead, given the fixtures we have remaining. But on the other hand CL qualification could potentially be fantastic for the club.... Draw I suppose, that way at least only 2 points are being dished out instead of 3.

We can still dream of 3rd. If we win our 2 games in hand over Manure then we're 2 points behind them. They are about to play Arsenal.

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2002

Arsenal's game with ManU will be postponed because of the formers FAC Semi (ptuh!) with Boro.

Sky want it played as the last game of the season, for obvious reasons. However, Whinger has said he wants to think that over as he's not sure it's in their best interests. Hells bells, let's make absolutely sure we don't do anything that isn't in Arsenal's best interests!

Dreaming is all very well but as far as I'm concerned, our season could be over effectively come about five on Good Friday.

Has anybody seen anything at all lately to offer any encouragement for seeing things differently ?

Dreaming it don't make it so.

Come on man, be realistic, we are too far behind to be champions this season.

4th place would be fantastic for me, so we need Chelsea (and Leeds) to slip up as much as possible, and of course us to win as many as we can.

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2002

Yep, I'm on the realistic side as well. There's no way we'll win all our remaining games, so the more distance we can keep between us and Chelsea/Leeds, the better. Maybe it's sacreligious(sp?), but I'm resigned to one of Liverpool/Arse/Manure(ptuh!) winning the title this season. I'd still like to see us aim for a top 4 finish. I still believe we can manage it.

Clarky, I thought it was announced yesterday that Arse v Manure was being moved to May 8? Has that changed? Wouldn't surprise me that Sky would want it on the last Saturday, though.

Smicer has just scored a classic for the Scouse in injury time :-(

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2002

Owen!! YES!!!!

I can't believe I just said that. eeeeeeee.

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2002

Oh, it was Smicer? My webcast went all weird during the goal. Probably because it's Chewsee. ;-)

Final score, 1-0 to the Bin Dippers, they go top.

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2002

Now switching over to Fulham in hope they'll heap a bit more misery on Spurs. :-)

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2002

Ciara, Spurs are leading 2-0 at H-T :-(

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2002

Stupid Spurs.

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2002

I see we're live on TV again on Good Friday (Everton game) - I hope wor lot can learn how to play in front of the cameras, our new 'jinx'?!

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2002

Aren't our next 4 matches on telly? None of them are on Sat/Sun, that much I know. :-(
