Stumped on how to locate an old movie

greenspun.com : LUSENET : A Country Singletree : One Thread

I have a very dear friend of 84 yrs old. He and his wife have been neighbors of mine for the past six years. They moved here from Mexico where they lived most of their life. He built what must have been a very unusual home in the hills of Mexico and it was used as the backdrop for two movies filmed who knows how long ago. One was called el Secuestro, starring Jorge Rivero, and the other movie is named Claudia. He did see the movie many years ago, but as surprise for his birthday I wanted to get a video of either one of them. He would be so pleased. I have looked at Amazon.com and Ebay with no luck other than to find one called "el secuetro de los 100 Millones" which is not the one I need. Any of you have any suggestions as to where else I might look/search?? Thanks..

Might try this site Movie Locations, http://www.seeing-stars.com/Locations/TVLocations1.shtml to give more info. on the film, goes back to the 1920's movie locations.

Have you tried The Internet Movie Data Base

or www.imb.com

It has a vast search engine movies of all kinds and information regarding sources and how to order them.

And remember, relationships, like the one you share with your friends from Mexico take work, and committment, so hang in there and FIND THAT VIDEO!
