Today, March 21, we members of the Catholic Church family honor, in a special way, the following friends of God -- saints whose souls are now in heaven:

Bl. Alphonsus de Rojas [Alfonso] (Spanish, professor, Franciscan friar, d. 1617)
St. Benedicta Cambiagio Frassinello [Benedetta] (Italian, married woman, Ursuline nun, foundress of Congregation of the Benedictine Sisters of Providence, d. 1858 [canonized 2002])
St. Brillus of Catania (Syrian, disciple of St. Peter, bishop in Sicily, c. 90)
Bl. Clementia of Oehren (German, widow, Benedictine nun, d. 1176)
St. Enda of Arranmore (Irish, abbot, 6th century)
St. Isenger of Verdun (Irish, monk, bishop in Germany, 9th century?)
Holy Martyrs of Alexandria (Egyptian, martyred on Good Friday by Arians in 342)
Sts. Philemon and Domninus (Roman, preachers, early martyrs)
Bl. Santuccia Terrebotti (Italian, widow, Benedictine abbess, foundress of Servants of Mary, d. 1305)
St. Serapion of Arsinoe (Egyptian, abbot ["desert father" of over 10,000 monks], 4th century?)
St. Serapion the Scholastic (Egyptian, monk, bishop, c. 370)

If you have anything to share about these holy people, please reply now -- biographical episodes, prayers through their intercession, the fact that one is your patron saint -- whatever moves you. If you are interested in one of these saints and want to find out more about him/her, please ask. Information is sometimes available on the Internet.

All you holy men and women, saints of God, pray for us.
God bless you.
John
