or "where's your dot".

My eye was drawn to it within about five seconds of pulling the Times out of its plastic sleeve this morning. While I couldn't see the red dot, I could tell it was a Leica from the way the photographer was handling it and it's relative size next to the Nikon.

Actually spotting Leicas is an art around here. All of the Leica users in Philly tend to eat out at Wendy's restaurant so I hang around there with my CL (wrecky) hehehe or the upcoming M3.

"All of the Leica users in Philly tend to eat out at Wendy's restaurant so I hang around there. . ."

I thought this thread was about spotting Leicas, not stalking Leica users.

Yesterday I was along the access road of IH 35 here in Austin. I had my M6 with 35 Summilux around my neck, only to literally cross paths with a guy carrying the exact same outfit. A civil engineering professor at UT taking slides of the interstate for a lecture. What are the odds of that?

Ever notice how you only spot Leicas when you're out photographing with yours?

By the way, the professor had never heard of this forum! I gave him the URL.

Leica spotting? I carry a black paint M4 and a noctilux around. Last night I went to an opening of a photo exhibit in which I have a print. This is in Tulsa. There were alot of photographers there. No Leicas other than mine. mostly 35mm silver plastic Canons and Nikons. Here in Oklahoma I rarely ever see another Leica. I think that the Leica users are becoming scarcer and scarcer around here. Probably mostly retiring by now. I used to know a few, but they are all gone. I must be the only one it rubbed off on (Leica using, that is.) Alas, at least they are good for taking pictures ; ^ )
