You're in luck. I recently did an essay on Poe myself. You can find a good biography 6 pages long at http://www.allpoe.com/bio/. You can also find a long biography 13 pages long at http://www.x3m.ro/ScoalaOnline/engleza/poe.html. If the website is too busy, you could try going to askjeeves.com, then type in edgar allan poe biography. It should be the 23rd result. It should say something like edgar allan poe biography by Hervey Allen.
